DATELOG SAT 27 DEC

After getting to bed around 05:30 local time (11:00 MEL) we got up around 10:00 to partake of our included breakfast at the hotel.
Food was good and service was also good. They have a mix of local foods as well as standard continental and hot breakfasts.
Everyone else was still asleep at their respective residences so we just went back to our rooms for while and read / snoozed for a while.
Sharon came and picked us up about 15:00 and we we to visit the Mascarenhas family (see separate entry).
After a very pleasant afternoon there we set off for Mass at the Cathedral at 18:00 - although our driver was late and traffic heavy so we didn't arrive until the homily.




After dinner we headed off to Connaught Place which seems to be one of the "go to" places for shopping and restaurants. Some confusion as to exactly where the restaurant was so we went around in circles for a while.
Dinner was very nice and was to celebrate the 47th wedding anniversary of James & Jocelyn.
Our restaurant was Berkos which is Chinese / Thai. Food here is quite cheap - main serves were between $5 and $7 each.
After this we retired got the evening - tomorrow we start our four night side tour by minibus.
